MOLLYS NIPPLE

MATTS NIPPLES?

View from the top

Ever since a young man I have talked about Molly's Nipple. I mean really a land formation that looked like part of the female body! I remember when it snowed we often joked Molly decided to wear a bra! Last Sunday rather than looking and joking at the nipple we (Cory, Mel, Marie, Jackson, Danica and Kylee) decided to climb to the top.

There are several ways to get summit Molly's Nipple. The easiest way, and of course the way we took, is to drive up SR 59, turn off on the well graded road roughly three miles from main Hurricane then using the dirt roads head south by southwest. You can find driving directions online but as said basically you head south/ southwest. The brave can drive to within 1/2 mile. For us we took the safe route (we were in a SUV, but no 4WD) and our hike was about 2 miles round trip.
Getting to the top, while not easy, also is not too difficult. There are some steep sections and some minor scrambling but young Danica led the way and only needed help a couple of times.
Once on top, we were greeted with a spectacular 360 degree view. From the Arizona Strip, to Pine Valley. My personal favorite was the view of Frog Hollow Canyon.
